1 Person Can Make A Huge Difference!

Together We Can Change Thousands of Lives.

500 youth age between the ages of 18-21 age out of the Michigan foster care system every year. Individually and as a congregation we can show that people care in concrete ways. These items represent your love in action and continue to foster hope when the youth set up their own apartments or dorm rooms.

Here are some common items needed—select as many as you care to provide:

2 pkg of a healthy snack like granola bars, trail mix, raisins,
1 box gallon zip lock bags
1 bottle of hand sanitizer and 4 bars soap
1 large box of tissues
1 wash cloth, 1 bath towel
1 bottle each of shampoo and conditioner
1 deodorant
1 package of disposable razors or Feminine hygiene products
1 toothbrush and toothpaste
Small box or bottle of laundry detergent; 1 pkg. of softener sheet
Pens and paper (lined and blank for computer printer—for those in college)

If you’d prefer to make a cash donation, make your check out to FCC with notation “Foster Youth.” Send to Rev. Kate Thoresen, 1669 West Maple Road, Birmingham, MI 48009 or drop items off at the FCC office there. These will be distributed through our local service agencies.
